This new one from South African duo Future Radio is anthemic, catchy chorus over raucous guitars and big drums… This is beyond brilliant and just as I’d expect from these guys. “Give me something to believe in, give me me room so I can breathe…” This song is so catchy, and living in a world …
This instrumental is… Full of life. In a time when the world needs to get up and celebrate what we have, this track hits the spot. Josephine plays the violin and flute on this and while you wouldn’t really associate the violin and flute occupying the melody line for jazz and funk, she does it …
This has such a smooth jazz feel to it.. the groove is trippy, and that’s the thing I like about it, Feds, comes in with a total buttery vocal and I like it, she’s having fun on this and I appreciate that… “Let’s take this day by day, don’t wanna say the words that I’ve …
Congratulations on the release of “Catch My Breath”, how does it feel? It is lovely, as the success of finishing it is the best! I find releases a bit like Christmases as a child. The build-up is tantalising, then the actual day can be a bit of a let-down. I am easily disappointed and …
Sophie Dorsten is back with a gorgeous new single, “Butterflies” and changes gear slightly with this. For one thing, it’s a little more bluesy in my ears to her previous tracks and has a little more soul. One thing I’ve always liked about Sophie is that she doesn’t compromise with her lyrics. This is no …

Congratulations on the release of More. How does it feel? It’s a relief to finally give it to the masses. It was a slow process but we keptgoing because we wanted to make it for other people and releasing this EP hasalways been the goal. What’s your favorite track from it? It changes …
Marina Florance, fellow Fresh On The Net moderator and my songwriting partner of three songs is back, and this song is gorgeous. Wow.. It starts off with her accompanying herself on guitar, and singing in the lower register of her voice. There is something really calming about her vocals that I love, she just makes …
This track starts out acappella, then keyboards, come in to accompany Kadi’s voice. And what a voice. Kadi sings with an uplifting powerful authority, you’re being taken on a journey here, and I’m here for it. The chorus says “Oh there’s a silver lining trust the timing even when you’re shutting me down”, and it …
