Track Of The Day: Natural Wonders Every Child Should Know – Pet Shop Boys

updated on Leave a Comment on Track Of The Day: Natural Wonders Every Child Should Know – Pet Shop Boys

Pet Shop Boys released an album which is pretty much a biography of Alan Turing, the computing genius that helped develop the code and the machine BOMBE to crack Germany’s ENIGMA during World War II. The whole album is an autobiography first performed in 2014 but a new version has been recorded for release this …

Track Of The Day: Danger Danger – Music Of Sound

updated on Leave a Comment on Track Of The Day: Danger Danger – Music Of Sound

The Music Of Sound have had a busy old year! A member not joining the band but rejoining the band making them a quartet, music videos and of course new releases. I have a personal investment in this band as I’ve helped them shoot their videos in and around London and it’s helped me to …

Track Of The Day: Beating Drums – Kim Ralls

updated on Leave a Comment on Track Of The Day: Beating Drums – Kim Ralls

Kim Ralls is an artist I’ve kept in touch with since the more simpler times of X and is a folk singer who keeps himself busy on the gig circuit, this is obvious from the cover of his new single Beating Drums. This is folk with a distinctly Celtic flavour. This song is about the …

Track Of The Day: Off The Tracks – Freya Beer

updated on Leave a Comment on Track Of The Day: Off The Tracks – Freya Beer

Freya Beer dropped a new single that’s epic in story and epic in music. It references James Dean and driving fast – this could be applied in so many different ways, it could be a friend or a relative that’s taken a path that could destroy them, and Freya’s observing this from the passenger seat, …

Track Of The Day: It’s A Joke! – Graham Graham Beck

updated on Leave a Comment on Track Of The Day: It’s A Joke! – Graham Graham Beck

Graham Graham Beck has dropped a new album and this is one of the tracks from it. It even comes with a video, and as is Graham’s trademark both the song and video are packed full of quirks. This song is an ode to what is known to be the world’s oldest joke shop in …

Track Of The Day: Jealousy – Pet Shop Boys

updated on Leave a Comment on Track Of The Day: Jealousy – Pet Shop Boys

In honour of Chris Lowe’s birthday I thought I’d pull this one out of the vault. This is a song from the Pet Shop Boys’ album Behaviour released in 1990 and as a single in its own right in 1991. For those who know me well you will know that I am a pet shop …

Track Of The Day: Early Jive – Killa Maus

updated on Leave a Comment on Track Of The Day: Early Jive – Killa Maus

Track Of The Day – “Early Jive” @killamausThis track takes the biscuit for the most bizarre track I’ve heard this year. And I’ve heard a LOT of bizarre tracks. But that’s okay because I like bizarre. It starts off with bleeps and boops, there are snippets of audio like birds chirping, a saxophone, piano and handclaps, …

Track Of The Day: Like Michael – Prodbear

updated on Leave a Comment on Track Of The Day: Like Michael – Prodbear

This track made me smile as the references to Michael Caine are pretty cool, the cockney accents, the reference to his famous line from The Italian Job. Which is actually misquoted I’m not sure if that’s intentional or not – it’s supposed to be you’re only supposed to blow the bloody doors off. But probably …
