Track Of The Day: Another Star – Stevie Wonder

updated on Leave a Comment on Track Of The Day: Another Star – Stevie Wonder

This week marks 50 years since Stevie Wonder released this phenomenal album. It is a collection of songs that cover social justice, celebrating musical legends, parenthood and just a need to set the dancefloor alight. This song falls into the latter category, it’s got an infectious singalong chorus, percussion going wild, the whole band absolutely …

EDBL, ADY SULEIMAN & DAN WHITLAM – When You Were Mine edbl · When You Were Mine (feat. Dan Whitlam) EDBL is back in the building and suitably kicks things off with a track that’s nice and sparse – bass, guitars, vocals and drums. The bass has a dubby feel to it making it cross …

Album Review: “Here Because Of Hope” – Ezra Collective

updated on Leave a Comment on Album Review: “Here Because Of Hope” – Ezra Collective

Ezra Collective dropped a new album! Let’s go. This is how the album opens up, and it’s read beautifully by Letitcia Wright – yep. Black Panther herself.  She approaches the reading with gravity and reverence, and why not? Imagine someone like Sir Ian McKellen or Dame Judi Dench doing a reading? She’s giving it emotion …

AROUND ABOUT DUSK- without you Around About Dusk · Without You This has such a World War II era jazz feel to it, none of the gloss that came later on, but the kind you’d expect in the background of a period drama. This could be playing in the background on a grainy gramophone, at …

AZU YUCHE – Weak Azu Yeché · Weak Azu Yeché opens the faves this week with something a little special.. This has the classic soul around it, I’d even go as far as to say this has neo soul vibes – it reminds me of D’Angelo with those guitar licks! Clean tone! Add to that …
