Now there’s a title I never thought I’d type into my blog….
The first time I came across this track was through a reel I saw on instagram. It was a rap battle, and the way it came across it really worked. First up, using the Justin Timberlake sample of “Cry Me A River” on the track is genius.
Callum references the fact that he’s got a lisp, and makes it the hook, hence why he’s spitting the following bar:
“I think my lisp is cute,
I don’t listen to them man,
Saying seven sizzling sausages in a saucepan.”
From top to bottom, the track is full of bars that come at top speed, stopping and starting because he’s playing on his self deprecating humour.
All in all?
This is a banger.
No pun intended.
Callum Marcel is an artist from Manchester, which is quite evident within his accent, this is his fourth single.
I am going to check out the other tracks!
