This is a breezy jazz track that that starts off with piano drums and bass doing hits while the vocals gently scat across the intro… I call this breezy because it reminds me of the kind of music you’d imagine in a film soundtrack as part of a montage of scenes – 80s romcom, and for a couple of minutes it adds to the couple’s love story. It sounds old school so not necessarily recorded digitally but to tape and lovely and warm for that matter. This song had my attention from when I heard it! Marie-Claire’s voice is powerful, when she hits her lower register it gave me a rumble in my chest that you can’t always replicate. I’m looking forward to hearing more from her.
