The drums could symbolise the rhythm of time, and how things change, but the constant is the beating of the drums. I like how things change in the middle, slowing down the tempo at 1:25 – it’s a gentle tone to call together people frrom all over the world to stand together moving forward heart to heart and hand in hand, this could be the theme for a harvest/winter solstice festival. Is that a bodhran? Either way what a tune!
Kim Ralls is from Yorkshire, a folk singer songwriter who’s been doing the rounds for a long time, I’ve kept my eye from a distance, and I enjoy his work. I hope to one day travel to God’s own country and see him play live.
By the way, it’s not a bodrhan it’s a djembe.
