Track Of The Day: “Colourblind” – Gabrielle Sey

Lord Gabrielle Sey can sing! This starts off with an acoustic guitar then Gabrielle’s vocals enter the chat rich and warm, it leaves you wrapped up in a warm winter coat watching the sun set over Greenwich Park while drinking the sweetest creamiest hot chocolate.

The melody soars through and Gabrielle switches gears in the chorus where she goes to a minor chord, but that’s not all, rhe song changes gears again where she gives it a rock feel… but then we are not done!!

She takes us on an a journey to Ghana adding percussion… we are going from acoustic soul to almost indie rock to gospel to jazz tinged Afrobeat. Gabrielle describes her sound as being “round trip from London to Accra with a stop-off at a Cali Sunday Service,” I’m going to add a layover in Tennessee for a song circle gig then a road in the Delorean to an underground poetry club in New York City in 1969…. Gabrielle Sey’s got soul,
