This track combines a strong soulful vocal over a fantastic dance beat that sounds exotic, I love the build up to the hook on this, the bass line is hypnotic, and the percussion wanders in and out. But when it gets going you have a song that really is anthemic, I mean it’s a call to action – “how can we tell our stories?” Great moments are the reversed piano at the beginning, the delayed clap, great sound design! But my favourite bit is when the drums come to the front giving it an afrobeat vibe…All in all – brilliant song. This is the opening track from her EP “Four Quarters” available on all platforms.
