I’ve just discovered this little beauty released on the 7th August! This is gospel music with an anthemic chorus that you can imagine echoing in churches around the world – hold that thought.
Martin Smith is no stranger to writing anthemic hymns – after all it was 30 years this year that I heard Thankyou For Saving Me for the first time at the Elim Bible Conference in Bognor Regis. So this comes as no surprise that from the big triumphant drums to the big chorus makes you want to celebrate the joy inside of you.
Why would I not sing of your praises
Even when troubles come?

That’s just the first verse!
This song is enough to lift my spirits up, I love the choir elements too, there is quotation of scripture too, and that leads to the build of repeating the chorus… the ululating, the imagery of dancing all make this song something special. Now, there are multiple versions of this track including Spanish, Celtic, and Bollywood.
