@riley.wayy is my one to watch for many reasons. First and foremost she’s a singer songwriter who is able to pack a punch with her songs, and this is illustrated beautifully in this song, it’s an acoustic led track with all the right ingredients – a catchy melody, a middle 8 and an outro that will make you go back and listen again.
This song is about a relationship that is deteriorating, however she’s determined to make it work, because she believes in the relationship.
Instrumental wise we have an acoustic guitar leading the way, joined by piano, Hammond organ bringing the soulful blues flavour and percussion in the intro. This song is catchy as hell, and they outro with Riley’s adlibs are just bang on. I love a little bit of harmonics to end it. And just like that we are done.
Riley’s got a great future ahead of her in my opinion, she’s supported @macygray and she’s got more songs in her arsenal… watch out for this one!
