Single Review: “Bad Blue Boy” – Airinna Namara

This is beautifully crafted 80s pop that I reckon Stock Aitken Waterman would be proud of..

I’m a fan for sure that’s my era!

Airinna sent me this track and…

I’m in love. This song is so catchy, great vocals great four on the floor beat which gets your foot tapping.

I like the synth tom that comes in every so often.

There’s two ways you can do an 80s track. Cheesy or intelligently.

This is the latter.

The lyrics are executed with dark humour…

“Maybe an apocalypse, poison mist,

In the foul land we live in,

Maybe nobody’s coming to save us,

From zombies munching our brains,

I do think about death now because of you,

There’s no way we could escape it,

So what’s the worst that could happen to us if we fall in love tonight?”

Yeah. Love is a wonder I can tell you.

I just love the way that this song highlights a dark world, and what could happen if two people find love.

I love the understated synth solo in the middle and the outro, it’s not over powering and I hope Airinna is proud of this track.

Well done. Check out our interview here.
