This track is a mesh of so many different influences and this is what attracted me tot it. First of all it starts off with a strummed acoustic guitar giving me the impression that it was a country song. That perception changed when the bass came in, I reckon it’s enhanced with a synth too.
The drums came in driving the track, and pushing it and the vocals are low.
What’s this song about? Well, from what I can work out, it seems that it’s about someone that’s unattainable, someone that has their own life, a glamorous one at that, and they are light years away from where they are supposed to be.
Or we could be talking about a teenage crush.
Either way I like it!
Looking at their bio Eighty Ninety are brothers Abner and Harper James, they are both multi instrumentalists, they’ve got love from Billboard, Rolling Stone, and have been featured in a Martin Scorcese film.
I’m impressed.
