Sunflower Thieves are back with a cracker of a song – big acoustic guitars, drums that cut through the mix, especially during the pre chorus with toms that really sound pleasing to the ear.
Add to this a cello, and ethereal vocals and you have The Sunflower Thieves down to a tee.
This song is about solidarity- though I’d worry if someone said they’d burn down someone’s house for cheating on me! But this shows their sense of humour. I love the bass line being played – I need to shout this out because there was a chromatic run that made me grin like a Cheshire cat, it happens twice toward the end and it’s a beauty of a run! Great work.
Sunflower Thieves are Amy Illingworth and Lily Sturt-Bolshaw, they have had my heart since their song “Sirens” easily one of my favourite songs of the last 25 years.
