Freya Beer dropped a new single that’s epic in story and epic in music. It references James Dean and driving fast – this could be applied in so many different ways, it could be a friend or a relative that’s taken a path that could destroy them, and Freya’s observing this from the passenger seat, and can see what’s ahead.
Musically this is built around a dark instrumental, it starts off with a guitar part reminiscent of late 60s tv shows like Randall And Hopkirk (Deceased), add to that the orchestration, giving it a James Bond feel, I love the layers of spoken word woven within too, the outro made want to go back and listen again! All in all this track is genius!
