’s funny when I went to tag Righteous Reck here, my first thought was that this would be up @ruinzason and his brother @jflamesondabeat ‘s street, turns out they’re connected on social media already. This track has layers, the pitched up vocals and piano give it that love song vibe, but it’s not strictly a love song, it could be Righteous Reck showing interest in a friend’s well being. The whole focal point of the song is the lyric:
Just send me a text when you get home so I know you made it,
I like that because that’s something that I do to check on my friend and it just automatically connected for me.
Sonically, the chords are great, played on a piano, over a drum beat which is medium weight, but with heavy stomps to help the kick land properly, the vocals samples really help the track as well – overall I like the rap lyrics, the vibe, it’s set me in a good mood this morning!
