Maxi Priest has landed with a track that goes classic in its style – you have the one drop beat, the horn section the layered harmonies, organ and electric piano rounding it out along with the guitar lick and bassline for you to groove on.
This has summer written all over it and Maxi brings the soul with his vocal, the song touches on spiritual aspects of falling for someone:

The pay off with that last line got me!
This is catchy, and having heard this reminds me of how much I’ve loved Maxi, I still play “Close To You” from time to time and of course the classic “Housecall”.
