Single Review: “Fine Art” Gardna X JayaHadADream

This exploded out of my AirPods with such energy I had to write something about it. The slick beat is the stage on which Jayahadream and Gardna choose to lay down their rapid fire bars, I love the old school garage vibe on this with glitching synths, they don’t shout it’s pretty chilled and makes me want to throw some shapes around and it’s not even 9:30 yet! What a banger, this came through on the inbox this morning and it’s put a smile on my face. Go get some of this fine art!!!!!!

It starts off with “hello” through a telephone filter, and then Gardna opens up with his bars. While the beat is fast, Gardna comes in chilled but hits his mark with speed, and he hypes up JayaHadADream with her intro, and they go back and forth, it’s like they were always meant to work together!

Lyically there are references to fine art, graphics in its various forms using analogies. It’s almost like a freestyle on a given subject and it’s artfully done…. This reference is a deep cut, if you know you know.

Bristol MC and host extraordinaire, Gardna, has been a staple part of the UK scene for the last few years and has steadilybuilt up a solid reputation for bringing the good vibes, among both his fans and his musical peers. He also commands a strong stage presence at his incendiary live shows, inviting the audience into his world of late nights and big bad sounds.

Jamaican-Irish rapper JayaHadADream is known for her introspective and gritty style, heavily influenced by grime and a range of hip hop. Raised in Cambridge, her music journey began to flourish during her time in Nottingham. Her distinctive sound combines raw storytelling with emotive performances, captivating audiences in intimate venues and festivals alike.
