Single Review: “Solo” – Kinsella

Well this is a slice of great R&B mixed in with a bit of a latin groove! I love the chords on this, led by a guitar with a touch of tremolo. The keyboards give it that sugar, and a lovely synth bass just to give it that bounce….

Kinsella’s voice rides in effortlessly handling the key change at 1:50 for the bridge, the nah nah nah’s are so good especially with the harmonies over the top of that!

This song makes me want to do dance and sing along at the same time, there’s a lot to celebrate here!

Loving the muted guitars in the instrumental section it reminds me very much of what Paul Jackson Jr. would do – think “P.Y.T.” by Michael Jackson and you get the general idea.

What a tune!
