As we cling on the last strands of the summer this track is pretty apt, it’s a chilled reggae track featuring the late great reggae legend Lee Scratch Perry, this is dipped in spicy flavours with the dub feel to it, the bass rumbles through you and you hear Lee whisper a simple line:

Geo sings a beautiful hook again with that lovely whisper, really husky – this is the way!
Steve Marshall’s part is to provide the musical instruments and he’s no slouch, he provides the groove for Lee and Geo to do their thing on. I like the way that Lee switches from singing to spoken word midway through the end part of the song plus there’s a glorious trombone solo to bring us to the end of the song.. this reminds me of my late aunty Shirley as she’s the one who introduced me to the humble dirty kebab and reggae, music like Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Gregory Isaacs… what a time it was growing up.
