This is a sturdy indie pop track that carries the remainder of the summer in its chords and melodies. This song is about fighting adversities while keeping a brave face, it could come from all different sides – the second verse takes a turn where someone is introduced into the narration of the song, and Stephanie sings about this person a friend who gives her strength when it’s needed. The thing that caught my ear most about this song is Stephanie’s voice, it’s rich in depth. Add the layer of harmony and you have a song that is so uplifting. Watch out for the little guitar solo and little drum break too and you have a perfect indie pop track.
