This one is a pulse racer! The piano sets the tempo, and just runs! It’s a great little jazz instrumental, using bass, drums, and piano, the whole track is off kilter it seems the time signature flits between a few bars I gave up counting because quite frankly it had me grooving. It messes with your head and that’s fine, listen to the accents and it will bring you back into the current of the flow.
The drummer gets some at 0:58 – snare rolls, we this is my favourite part as it goes!
The bass keeps it simple, and I love that!
However at 3:18, things get stirred up into a full on rage the drummer is going wild and this is where I doff my hat.
Diabolical work.
