Review: Jody And The Jerms – Spinning

Jody And The Jerms – Spinning

Jody and The Jerms are back with a summery tune that… well… it’s bloody brilliant!

French lyrics, a clappy bit that the cast of Friends would be proud of and a synth bell to add to the sonic brilliance as well as an outro that drips in synthy sauce…. Lovely. The guitars really provide a really good backdrop to this, I love the way it’s been mixed to split in the mix to make it sound full. I have reviewed Jody and The Jerms before and they never disappoint, I made a dad joke about how that last one was catchy and if course I’m going to apply the same here… this tune is contagious. From the opening chords and Jody’s voice sailing in on that wall of sound this makes a perfect summer banger – as things start to reopen get that drop top down, head out, eat some good food and turn this up. I really wish I’d brushed up on my French…

They’re getting big recognition on the radio, Radcliffe and Maconie and Janice Long, are counted among their fans. Plus they’re going back on stage with dates from August onwards. Going out with bangers like this – for those of you who have never heard of them? That will change.
