I was a ham then and\u00a0knew after that, I\u2019d never get off the stage again!<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>You reside in Canada, what\u2019s the best thing about the music scene there?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i>The best part about the Canadian music scene is the people. Canada really is a\u00a0warm, friendly\u00a0community and everyone here is so quick to try and help a musician in need. Whether it\u2019s funding, social support or physical\u00a0musical backing, the support is there!\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>You use looping for live performance what\u2019s the easiest and most challenging part of using that?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i>I would say the most difficult part of looping is timing! Haha I can\u2019t count how many times I\u2019ve hit record a second too early and then I\u2019m stuck with a jumping\u00a0loop\u00a0for 3 and a half minutes.\u00a0The easiest, and\u00a0definitely most enjoyable part iscoming up with actually sound to loop. It\u2019s a great feeling to hear the\u00a0song come together at the end that was all created with just with\u00a0vocals and guitar.\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>Who are your influences?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i>In regards\u00a0to\u00a0my\u00a0musical influences, Ed Sheeran, Julia Michaels and\u00a0Miley\u00a0Cyrus have a huge influence on my sound. I love their honest lyrics and simple music. They can fit both commercial radio and an intimate living room party\u2026\u00a0it\u2019s literally the\u00a0\u2018best of both worlds\u2019.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>What are you listening to at the moment?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i>\u2018Superhero\u2019 by\u00a0Lauv<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>What\u00a0was the writing process for \u201cBlue\u201d?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i>Each song was a little different. \u2018Thank You\u2019 was written nearly 2 years ago with 3 others in Nashville. As well as \u2018Want\u00a0Some\u2019 and \u2018Second Chances\u2019. Then \u2018Repeat\u2019, \u201824\u2019 and \u2018Roses\u2019 were all written by just me, usually while in bed very late at night\u00a0while going through some emotional stuff.\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>Who would you like to collaborate with in the future?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i>Miley\u00a0Cyrus; that\u2019s the dream!<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>What equipment do you use?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i>If\u00a0it\u2019s a small show with just me, I use a guitar, a loud box,\u00a0mic, and looper pedal. If it\u2019s a bigger show, a use a full PA system and my dad will join me with a\u00a0cajon, trumpet\u00a0and harmonies.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>What\u2019s next for you?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i>I\u2019m heading to P.E.I. Canada for the\u00a02019\u00a0Canadian Song-writing\u00a0Challenge and then to Toronto for Canadian Music Week.
