This is pure soul transporting you back to the early 70s with that vocal. With every listen I suspect that a mellotron was involved for that flute sound that\u2019s being played. If you don\u2019t know what that it is it\u2019s the instrument that the Beatles used at the beginning of Strawberry Fields Forever it could be argued that it\u2019s an early version of a sampler as it uses recordings of instruments on tape to be played back by a keyboard. It\u2019s kitsch as anything but hey people have made hit records out of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There\u2019s a psychedelic vibe to this too especially in the chorus and maybe it\u2019s just the heat but this is perfect for a summer\u2019s day!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">GOTTS STREET PARK are a trio from Leeds, this track marks their return to releasing music in three years, they are also playing The Roots Picnic\u2019s first London event.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I\u2019m a big fan of The Roots.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I like these guys too. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This has such a nice warmth around the production, it feels like it has been recorded using analogue.
