They do have an interesting site though with audio packs for serum which could come in handy if you&#8217;re into that kind of thing. This track is an interesting one though as it&#8217;s packed full of electronica on a shuffle, which is quite rare in dance music and that&#8217;s what keeps it fresh. This song is about reflection and wanting to be able to go back to a moment in time to relive a moment and tell someone what&#8217;s on the writer&#8217;s mind. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We&#8217;ve all been there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The bleeps and bloops keep it going and makes yearn for the old school 80s synths!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here&#8217;s what I&#8217;ve found on the acts here:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>BARELO<\/strong> is a rising DJ and music producer known for his atmospheric, melodic, and progressive house sounds. He has become a staple artist on Sekora, releasing hit tracks with the label.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Antrex<\/strong>&nbsp;is a melodic house and electronic music producer\/DJ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Susie Ledge <\/strong>is a bit of a mystery I couldn&#8217;t find anything on her!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/sekoramusic\">Instagram<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CARLA J. This is a bit of alright &#8211; it&#8217;s even got a little trumpet solo in there before the second verse! But what I like about it most is the harmonies, it&#8217;s all very technical because of the way it comes back to the key change, and I appreciate it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This has such a nice summery feel, I live in Blackheath and can imagine red kites flying high above the village below while this is playing in my AirPods. I haven&#8217;t done that in a long time, I don&#8217;t even own a kite but the images that this is conjuring up makes me feel like going for a long walk and watch the kites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Carla J. Easton is a singer songwriter and a keyboard player who&#8217;s part of the Futurist Retro Champions, and has also worked with Belle And Sebastian! Musically this sits between folk a hint of jazz, and there&#8217;s a little dub element that I didn&#8217;t expect in there too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s a joy to listen to! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Cordelia Chatfield<\/strong> comes from the southeast of England, and has had some support from BBC Radio. This is a song that carries a little heartbreak, and it&#8217;s a story in itself. Looking at the single artwork it&#8217;s someone dressed in a wedding dress &#8211; this in itself poses so many questions. What&#8217;s the connection? Look at the lyrics. One thing that stood out for me was the fact that the beat was based around a 6\/8 rhythm, giving it a nice little shuffle, imagine performing this live? This track would be a blast especially for the drummer! Graham has a very unique style of songwriting, from his instrument choices to his lyrics, he is not afraid to write quirky lyrics and that in my book is always a good thing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This track is built around vintage instruments, and has a funky sound to it, which is really cool, I love that about this song. But the real gem here is the lyrics talking about a joke shop that is full of oddities &#8211; being someone who grew up in an era where comics illustrated practical jokes I can visualise what this shop looks like. If there was a video for this I could see it being directed in the style of Tim Burton with lots of psychedelic colours. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apparently this is based on Graham&#8217;s visit to one of the UK&#8217;s oldest joke shops in his native Hull. Graham is a musician who specialises in visual performances, his pictures on his instagram and Facebook will testify to this, he actually supported Tom Robinson on tour. Finger picked acoustic guitars, double bass, chimes, strings, you can&#8217;t go wrong. The vocals come in giving us the sign this is a folk song. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This song carries a sadness in its melody, and no wonder &#8211; the main refrain says loneliness has company, which is true on so many levels. What I like about this song the simplicity and taking away the technological part of the song plays an important part. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My favourite part of this song is the harmonies on the line we&#8217;re on our knees, the chorus just soars!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What a tune. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Honey And The Bear are a duo who have been active on the UK folk network in recent years, from what I can see they&#8217;re from Suffolk and have had a busy few months on tour. This a guitar led track which will be very important later, but the big thing about this track that caught my ear was the way it stops and starts in the chorus. You hear the emphasis on the word runner, it&#8217;s catchy and ticks all the boxes for a catchy pop song. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The song is about someone who&#8217;s likely to capture your heart and then run effectively ghosting you. The  lyrics are a cautionary tale, but this feeds into the country blues feel of this song, and Sam is singing about how this will never happen again. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Great work! I&#8217;ll let you into a little secret it was part of the inspiration for what was to become the tea biscuits and a chat interviews with their 60 second interviews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anyway there&#8217;s a section in the metro which is quite heartwarming because it&#8217;s about those missed connections where everyone is rushing around to get from A to B, and either they&#8217;re too shy to say anything or they genuinely didn&#8217;t have the time to stop. The strings that sit on the track are beautifully arranged, you hear hear water rushing and nature sounds in this track which in itself tells a story. This is an emotional song, born out of loss &#8211; Alice has this extraordinary way of writing and channeling grief into her songs, and this came from the death of her mother. Having experienced loss in the last twelve months of my best friend Grace and my dad just months apart this song really speaks to that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I heard a story once that Carlos Santana, when his dad passed away couldn&#8217;t make music for some time and it was while he was writing for the Supernatural album that he heard Symphony No. 3 in F major by the Romantic composer Johannes Brahms, and that became the basis of his song &#8220;Love Of My Life&#8221; with Dave Matthews. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I know that I find solace in music and I&#8217;m pretty sure that Alice does. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hence why this is my track of the week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With Sun&nbsp;is the alias of London-based singer, songwriter, and poet&nbsp;Alice Hal<strong>e<\/strong>.
