I\u2019m a Swifty. This is the second track of hers that I\u2019ve reviewed this year. I know that the media and the world at large tends to have a love hate relationship with her but that\u2019s their problem. They\u2019ll find someone else to love to hate eventually.<br \/><br \/>Ms. Swift seems to have a crazy work ethic, straight off a gruelling record breaking tour she\u2019s dropped a new album, \u201cThe Life Of A Showgirl\u201d which could be seen as a post tour reflection given the title.<br \/><br \/>With the song I\u2019ve chosen, this song seems to comment on the light and dark side of celebrity, the comments about her celebrity status, her life out for the world to see. She recognises her place in the world but also recognises that she\u2019s part of a bigger picture. Her family. Hence why this is called Eldest Daughter.<br \/><br \/>This is a piano led ballad, joined by guitar and bass keeping it simple.. I love the bridge for the layered harmonies it\u2019s such an emotional lift.<\/p>\n<p>Beautiful work Ms Swift.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Let\u2019s get this out of the way.
