It&#8217;s been a fun one to promote so far because it definitely pushed me to get out of my comfort zone and regular motions!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What\u2019s the story behind the song?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I had been listening to a lot of Sam Fender and really appreciated how he addressed the more touchy topics of our time. I had some things to say and politics have been\u00a0becoming an increasingly more prevalent topic with my friends, so it felt like the right time to get things off my chest.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>You\u2019re a singer songwriter from Nashville. How did this journey begin for you?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Somewhere in between Freaky Friday and Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4. That was the first time I really remembered tilting my ear up at music for the first time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What did you listen to growing up?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Lots of emo bands and classic rock. Still trying to synthesize Senses Fail and Jackson Browne.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Your debut album,\u00a0<i>Shadow Work<\/i>, came out in 2024. What\u2019s your favourite track from it?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Probably &#8220;Apocalypse.&#8221; I think that track is the most &#8220;me&#8221; on the record. It also pairs nicely with &#8220;Minute Man.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What\u2019s your favourite memory of those sessions recording the album?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Just being in the flow with my producer Dan [Swank]. We tackled it almost completely ourselves and anytime I get to be in a consistent rhythm of creating, I&#8217;m incredibly grateful.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What are your three favourite things about living in Nashville?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The creators, the bartenders, and the guitar stores.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>When creativity hits a brick wall, how do you like to get it back?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I&#8217;ve found hangovers and romance to be undefeated in that department.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What are you listening to at the moment?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Lot&#8217;s of folky\/alt country stuff. I&#8217;m loving Dylan Gosset and Evan Honer at the moment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What are you looking forward to doing next?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I&#8217;m pretty anxious to play some shows soon.
