In that time, Robbie Williams left, the band split up some time after that, all had successful solo careers and even reunited &#8211; something no one ever saw coming &#8211; first without Robbie and then with Robbie rejoining the band with a much publicised tour and album\u2026 what a time to be alive. Since their formation in 1990 they\u2019ve grown up and are still going strong.<br \/><br \/>I picked this track from the 3rd album because it was a powerful ballad, you could tell that the label had thrown budget at the record because this opens with an orchestra. The moody intro, the cellos building up to a flurry of notes into the horn swell up to the harp changing into a beautiful electric piano intro. Gary Barlow takes the lead on this and his vocal is almost bordering on soulful on what is a sophisticated pop song &#8211; it\u2019s like he\u2019s discovered his inner George Michael.<br \/><br \/>The chord progressions under his voice give this the emotional lift, and when the band join him for the chorus\u2026 it\u2019s heart aching.<br \/><br \/>I could write so much about this song but whether Gary knows it or not, he was writing this at a time when people were experiencing their first heartbreak. Remember Take That\u2019s audience were still quite young &#8211; so this song was still very relatable. Everyone\u2019s been there and there\u2019s always a song for that.
