I\u2019ve just returned from an intensive week of studio recording in Frankfurt, and honestly, I\u2019m both happy and exhausted.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">Congratulations on the release of \u201cFool In Love\u201d how does it feel?\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It feels amazing to finally release this song, which I\u2019ve been working on for so many years. It also feels a bit surreal, especially since I wrote the first draft back when I was in my twenties.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">It\u2019s a song written 30 years ago, what\u2019s the story behind it?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At that time, I was in a relationship with my former girlfriend, and as a young man, I was uncertain about what I wanted in life and where it was heading. There were many questions and doubts, particularly about whether this relationship was the one that would last forever.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">You\u2019re a singer songwriter from Switzerland how did it all begin for you?\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>My singer-songwriter career began when I finally learned to play guitar properly with the help of my teacher, Fred. He taught me how to play my first chord correctly, and suddenly, I found myself writing songs as though they had been waiting inside me all along. However, while my career had an exciting start, it truly took off when I was in Hawaii, on the Big Island, about ten years ago. I decided to focus more on music and songwriting, and less on other things in my life.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">What did you listen to growing up?\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Growing up, I was fortunate to listen to some of the greatest music from the 80s and 90s. Artists like Chris Rea, Pink Floyd, Eurythmics, Tina Turner, and Elton John had a significant influence on me \u2014 just to name a few of the classics.<\/p>\n<p><strong>You\u2019ve played 300 concerts and counting what\u2019s been a highlight for you?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Every concert is special in its own way, but if I had to choose a highlight, it would be a very intimate performance I had in Cantabria, in northern Spain, at the Dreamseasurf Camp. It was in a cave or a half-cave, and the audience was incredibly quiet. It felt like playing for a family, and everyone was so attentive. I received so many compliments on my songs, and it truly had a magical atmosphere<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">Your album \u201cLocked Down &#8211; 7 Nations\u201d saw you switch gears with rap in different languages how did that come about?\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The idea for &#8216;Locked Down&#8217; came to me when I recorded my own version, which is more of a rock song with a verse that\u2019s somewhat like a rap. I won\u2019t mention the specific song that inspired me just yet, but it made me think about collaborating with different rappers. Since COVID-19 was a global phenomenon, I thought it would be a cool concept to feature seven different rappers from seven different countries, each rapping in their own language. I feel incredibly blessed to have completed this ambitious project, even though it took a lot of time and energy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>If you could give the 1995 version of yourself a piece of advice what would it be?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>My advice would be: You have everything you need inside of you. Try to relax, listen to your heart, and enjoy life.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">What are you listening to at the moment?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At the moment, I\u2019m enjoying a chill-out mix with artists like Chance Pe\u00f1a, OneRepublic, Passenger, Ben Howard, and several other great musicians.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">What are you looking forward to doing in 2025?\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In 2025, I\u2019m really looking forward to mixing and mastering the songs I\u2019ve recorded with my producer. I\u2019m also excited to perform at some great concerts, whether in small or large venues.
