Congratulations on the release of the \u201cIndecisive\u201d EP, how does it feel now it\u2019s out in the world?<\/strong><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Thank you – I really appreciate that! It’s amazing, honestly. Like a lot of other artists I have quite a few unreleased songs that will probably never see the light of day so it feels incredible to be able to give my listeners another glimpse into my little world with every new release that did make the cut. I poured a lot into this project and it’s the piece of work I am probably most proud of to this day, so it has been really great to share it with the world, have conversations about it and it fulfills me so much hearing that other people are enjoying my music – that’s genuinely what I do it for!<\/div>\n

What was your favourite part of the process of putting it together?<\/strong><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
My favourite moments are all the times after I just completed a demo in the studio on my own – I would just sit back and listen to it one more time before it goes out to be mixed & mastered. That feeling of hearing and fully taking in what you just created from scratch is unique and kind of hard to describe, but I always feel like all the time and effort I put in was worth it in the end. Seeing your own vision coming together is incredibly fulfilling and something that just never gets old!<\/div>\n

What was the most challenging and easiest part of recording it?\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
The most challenging part was definitely getting out of my own head. Although I believe that a certain amount of perfectionism can be helpful, it’s proven to be disruptive to my workflow on a few occasions. Especially when I\u2019ve been working on something for a long time I can be overcritical and will literally want to adjust bits that no one else would probably even notice. I had to stop overthinking and remind myself that \u2018Indecisive\u2019 was about embracing vulnerability and imperfection. The easiest part on the other hand was probably laying down all the harmonies and BVs, because I just really really enjoy recording those!<\/div>\n

You are a German artist and producer now living in London how did it all begin for you?<\/strong><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
I was lucky to grow up in quite a musical family and I guess being surrounded by many different sounds had me amazed by music from a young age. I always loved singing but saw it more as a hobby throughout my childhood and teen years up until I finished my A-levels. Once I had graduated I asked myself what I wanted to do for a career, and I knew I had to take this serious when music was essentially the only answer that I knew would fulfill me long-term and also the one thing I definitely wouldn’t get bored of. So that’s when I found a Singing\/Songwriting course in London that I immediately signed up for and attended. Initially I only planned to stay here for the duration of that, which was 3 months at the time, but after the course was done I took another one, and then also one more in music production and one in piano until I eventually just decided to study music at university and full-time. I moved over to the UK permanently and whilst I still worked on perfecting my craft, I started releasing music professionally during my second year of my degree. The rest is history!<\/div>\n

What did you listen to growing up?<\/strong><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Growing up, I was exposed to a wide range of genres due to my family\u2019s musical interests. I’d say it was a mix of Alternative Rock, Indie, Soul\/R&B, House, Pop, a little Neo-Soul and Hiphop, and even some Techno which probably all had an impact on my sound today in some way. Before I consciously chose my own music I remember hearing artists like Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu, Robbie Williams but also Bands like Red Hot Chilli Peppers or Queen. Though I liked pop\/rock lots as a child, later on as a Teenager I found myself gravitating towards contemporary R&B the most and also listened to quite a bit of HipHop. I loved listening to artists like Jhen\u00e9 Aiko, Chris Brown, Bryson Tiller, Drake, Jeremih, Rihanna, SZA, J.Cole, Kehlani, Nicki Minaj, Frank Ocean and PARTYNEXTDOOR whose modern styles really resonated with me. In my early adult years I started diving even deeper into R&B and Soul\/Neo-Soul with artists like Cleo Sol, D\u2019Angelo, Sasha Keable, Ari Lennox, Jill Scott, Summer Walker, Brent Faiyaz, Leon Thomas and Destin Conrad inspiring me.<\/div>\n

Being a producer, who are the three you look up to the most?\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Ahh that’s actually a hard question! But it would definitely have to be Pharrell\/Neptunes, Timbaland and Tyler, the Creator I guess but people like LondonOnDaTrack or Mustard have a great track record as well! Lately I’ve also been listening to lots of kwn, who produces the majority of her own stuff too which I really respect.<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
You have lived in London since 2018, what are your three favourite things about it and what do you miss about Germany?\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Yeah time has really been flying by! I would say my favourite things about London is the creativity and how vibrant it is – there’s always something going on and it feels great being surrounded by many others who are chasing their dreams in this city. Number two would be the diversity, all the different cultures, different foods and new traditions I’ve been exposed to – I love how much London expanded my horizons and allowed me to try and learn new things that I wouldn’t have been exposed to if I hadn’t moved! Lastly, I just love the big city lifestyle haha. Growing up in Augsburg, a relatively small city near Munich, I always wanted that and knew I’d move to a mega city one day. I love the fact that there is always something to do and it never gets boring here!<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Of course there are also a few things I miss about Germany, with Number 1 definitely being my friends and family! Secondly, I feel like Germany’s summers are just a bit more consistent so yeah, the UK weather is something I would happily give a miss sometimes. Finally, I miss the some of the comfort food – Pretzels, Schnitzel, Sp\u00e4tzle and Kn\u00f6del a lot!\u00a0<\/div>\n

What are you listening to at the moment?<\/strong><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
I’ve been listening to lots of Destin Conrad, Ambre, Leon Thomas, Maeta, Sasha Keable, Jordan Ward, Isaiah Falls, Doechii, Dylan Sinclair, Shaes Universe, Amaria and Sault lately! The list goes on of course but these guys have really been delivering straight vibes only lately!<\/div>\n

What 3 things are you looking forward to doing in 2025?<\/strong><\/div>\n

1. I look forward to dropping more singles and at least one of them will be a collab!<\/div>\n
