How does it feel?

Thank you! It feels surreal, honestly. This project has been such a personal journey for me, and now that it’s out in the world, it’s like releasing a piece of my heart. The response has been overwhelming in the best way—it’s so fulfilling to see how people connect with the songs.

It sounds almost autobiographical. What was the easiest and hardest part of writing and recording it?

It is very autobiographical—every song comes from real experiences and emotions. The easiest part was the writing itself; once I tapped into what I was feeling, the words and melodies just flowed. The hardest part was confronting those emotions in the studio. Reliving some of the heartbreak and betrayal was painful, but it was also cathartic and healing.

What’s your favorite track from the project?

That’s such a tough question because each track holds a special place in my heart. If I had to pick, it would be With My Love. It’s raw and intimate, and there’s a quiet strength in that song that I really love.

What did you learn while recording it?

I learned the power of vulnerability. It’s scary to put so much of yourself into your music, but I realised that’s what makes it truly meaningful. I also learned to trust myself more as a songwriter and to lean into my instincts during the creative process.

You’re a singer-songwriter from London. How did it all begin for you?

It started when I was a kid growing up in Norway, surrounded by music. My dad would play Queen and The Beatles around the house, and I fell in love with the idea of creating music that connects with people. I started writing songs seriously when I was about eight, and that obsession never went away. Moving to London felt like the natural next step in chasing my dreams.

What did you listen to growing up?

I grew up on Queen and The Beatles, thanks to my dad, and later discovered artists like Rihanna and Beyoncé, and they gave me this sense of feminine strength that I carry with me. Their music made me feel empowered and confident.

You come from a musical family. What lessons did you learn from them?

The biggest lesson was to work hard and stay passionate. My dad, uncle, and grandpa all had this incredible love for music, and they showed me how much dedication it takes to pursue it. They also taught me to never lose sight of why I started making music in the first place—to connect with people.

2024 has been a great year for you. What’s been a standout moment for you?

So many moments! Releasing Closing Chapters was definitely a highlight, but performing live and seeing people sing along to my songs was something else entirely. It’s one thing to write music, but experiencing that connection in real time is unforgettable.

You’ve also had some great live performances. What was your favorite place to play?

That’s a tough one! I’d say Live At Heart in Sweden—it’s such an intimate space, and the crowd’s energy was amazing. There’s something special about feeling so close to the audience, like you’re all sharing the same moment.

Tell us a funny moment from the stage.

One of the funniest and most surreal moments happened when I was supporting Conor Maynard on tour. It suddenly started pouring rain during my one sad song. It was like a scene from a movie—completely dramatic but also hilarious in the moment. It ended up being my favorite moment ever performing because it felt so magical.

What are you listening to at the moment?

Right now, I’m really into Gracie Abrams. Her music is so beautifully vulnerable and honest—it’s been on repeat for me lately.

What are you looking forward to in 2025?

I’m so excited to step into a new chapter creatively. I’ll be experimenting with bolder sounds and embracing a more confident, fearless side of myself. There’s also new music and live shows in the works, so I can’t wait to share that with everyone. It’s going to be a year of growth, and I’m ready for it!

Congratulations on the release of Closing Chapters.
