And he brought a banger!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Vocals by Esco Williams &#8211; what we have here is a track that starts off on a slow build.<\/p>\n<p>This could really work well with a full band\u2026.<\/p>\n<p>Piano laying down the chords with the strings, Esco brings a flavour of gospel, soul and a little bit of blues.<\/p>\n<p>The bass comes in with hi hats at 0:48 where things get a bit more warmed up, the chorus is catchy and this is the thing with Mark\u2019s songs you are never disappointed with a catchy hook.<\/p>\n<p>What do I mean? Wait\u2026 you don\u2019t know who he is???<\/p>\n<p>Go study your history.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Because Mark Hill is the Artful Dodger.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>No not Charles Dickens\u2019s Artful Dodger.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re talking about the dude who brought flavours along with Pete Devereux in the late 90s-early 2000s.<\/p>\n<p>Re-Rewind.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Yeah that\u2019s him.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>You know you responded with \u201cWhen the crowd say bo! Selecta!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s an automatic reaction.<\/p>\n<p>The guy\u2019s a legend.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway back to the song.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The main part comes in at 1:49 and it\u2019s nothing short of brilliant.<\/p>\n<p>I love Esco\u2019s harmonies on this, and it just hits\u2026. SO HARD!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>So\u2026<\/p>\n<p>You got a brief history lesson with my breakdown as to who Mark is, he\u2019s been active on social media I have even remixed a track that he put up the stems for a long while ago, I might just have to dig that out sometime\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Esco\u2019s government name is Julian (That\u2019s cool my government name is Derek but don\u2019t call me that unless you\u2019re my mum or I\u2019m in trouble usually the two go hand in hand.)<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s head of 3Tone Music a label services and distribution team.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m liking the sound of this\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mark Hill is back after a hiatus.
