As usual, the production standard is high &#8211; I\u2019m comparing this to a previous single that I\u2019ve been playing a lot, \u201cSunday Calling\u201d.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Jaelee\u2019s vocals range from full on gospel, to musical theatre and a tinge of opera. She sings of profound loss with a heartbreak that I can\u2019t even begin to measure but I\u2019m sure she\u2019s reaching into a deep place within to convey this.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Her lyrics here are gorgeous &#8211;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp; <\/span>\u201cOnly an angel relies alone, only an angel can get me home.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Lovely.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;Everytime she releases something it makes me pause and think.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Jaelee like myself is a south Londoner. She is the daughter of Millie Small, who had a major hit with \u201cMy Boy Lollipop\u201d. She has written down her collection of roaming thoughts, short stories and soulful vocal harmony drenched monologues. Painting a picture of her memories through catchy choruses and memorable melodies containing personal influences ranging from the well played vinyls of The Beach Boys, Pink Floyd and The Who to Nelly Furtado, Emeli Sand\u00e9 and Haim. A wide \u2018Mixtape of Emotion\u2019 resulting in a delightful blend of emotive pop and soulful rock. With such diverse influences, her music transcends genres and has a unique sound and feel which is instantly recognisable, leaving a lasting impression.<\/p>\n<p>The impressive vocal arrangements add an extra level of sophistication to her songwriting. Jaelee\u2019s musical journey guides the listener through the process of her self-discovery and the search for her own identity.
