Just came back to London from my Christmas holidays in Italy.

Congratulations on the release of “Summer” how does it feel?

It feels liberating honestly! My team and I have been working on the song so much that I can’t believe I’m finally sharing it with my audience!

What’s the story behind it?

I wrote the song during the very first lockdown of 2020. By that time I was feeling lost and scared as everyone else really. On top of the fear for the world’s situation my private life was falling apart since I was going throw a breakup through video calls and WhatsApp chats. I needed a way to let out my emotions, that’s why I wrote the song.

You recorded it with Georgia Winter and Evin Durkin, what was the easiest and hardest part of the process of putting it together?

The easiest part was the communication. They’re both people that I really admire and are part of my life. They are not only random producers but they have a special place in my heart! The hardest part was the mixing and mastering process. It was really hard to find the right balance to enhance both vocals and production.

You are a singer songwriter from Italy living in London, how did it all begin for you?

I decided to move to London after attending a music university in Rome for three years. I wanted to make new life experiences as well as finding more music opportunities. It’s now almost 4 years that I’m London and I can say that it was the right decision!

What did you listen to growing up?

To be honest with you I was a Disney Channel kind of girl. I used to love all the young celebrities like Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez. Another inspiration for me was my dad. He used to play guitar and write songs like me and in the house classics were always played from the Woodstock era.

You studied at ICMP in London what were the biggest lessons that you learned there?

I’ve learned that with dedication and practice you can reach whatever goal you want.

Your debut single “100 Per 100” received kudos from Brainstorming Magazine, as well as over 10,000 streams on Spotify how do you feel about the reception toward it?

I was really impressed with the results that I reached with my debut single. The track got an amazing response from the public and I think it couldn’t have gone better than this.

COVID has impacted the creative industry in a big way what kept you motivated?

The fact that the world stopped for these months and live gigs weren’t allowed gave me the chance to focus on my releases and growing my digital portfolio. I think that the music industry will find it’s own way to keep working and making money. Changes are always needed to keep things alive.

The last couple of years have been a time to reflect what did you learn about yourself?

I learned that I’m stronger than I think. I learned that you always change and you’re not only one thing. You are diamond with hundreds of facets and you need to learn how to love each of them.

Did you pick up any new skills during lockdown?

Yes, I developed my songwriting skills and learned to play guitar. I can say that I’m pretty satisfied with my progress.

What are you listening to at the moment?

Recently I’ve been listening a lot to Holly Humberstone, Nina Nesbitt, Olivia Dean and Biig Piig

What’s next for you?

More music! I’m already working on the next track that will be released in April. It’s going to be a year full of music and I’m really excited to show what I have in store for you.

Hello Francesca how are you?
